About Dr. Allan Grill
Dr. Grill obtained his M.D. and Family Medicine training from the University of Toronto (UofT) and completed his Master of Public Health degree at Harvard University. He holds an academic rank of Associate Professor in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto and the Faculty of Health Sciences at Queen’s University. Dr. Grill is the Chief and Medical Director of the Department of Family Medicine at Oak Valley Health and the Lead Physician at the Markham Family Health Team where he enjoys an active community-based clinical practice. In August 2023, Dr. Grill was selected as the inaugural Assistant Dean of the Queen’s-Lakeridge Health campus in Durham Region and provides administrative, operational, and educational leadership for medical students, residents and other interprofessional healthcare learners. Dr. Grill is also a recipient of the Canadian Certified Physician Executive (CCPE) credential from the Canadian Medical Association and Canadian Society of Physician Leaders recognizing competency and excellence in physician leadership.
