About Andrew
Andrew Yiu is a Chartered Professional Accountant with experience in operational and corporate finance, strategic planning, governance, and technology-enabled transformation. He currently serves as Director, Financial Planning & IT Strategy at Vancouver Coastal Health, where he leads financial planning and supports strategic technology initiatives through financial reporting, budgeting, governance, business case development, and systems improvement. Andrew also brings board and governance experience through his service with Compensation Employees Credit Union, where he served as Board Chair from 2014 to 2021. During this time, he helped guide the organization through the COVID-19 pandemic and supported its transition to a hybrid service delivery model, while also serving on the Investment and Lending, Membership, and Audit Committees. Throughout his career, Andrew has developed a collaborative and practical approach to leadership, with a strong focus on connecting finance, operations, technology, and governance to support organizational improvement and long-term sustainability. He is experienced in working across diverse stakeholder groups to help organizations navigate change, strengthen decision-making, improve processes, and support innovation in a thoughtful and financially responsible way.
