The Hepatitis C Elimination Roadmap Ontario’s HCV Screening and Care Toolkit is now live on TELUS PS Suite, and can be downloaded for free from the Amplify Care website.

The Hepatitis C Screening and Care Toolkit is now available for TELUS PS Suite, making one-time screening for all adults simple, automated, and fully integrated into your workflow.

Developed by the Hepatitis C Elimination Roadmap Ontario with Amplify Care and the Viral Hepatitis Care Network (VIRCAN) at UHN’s Toronto Centre for Liver Disease, this toolkit helps you deliver guideline-based HCV care as part of routine practice — quickly and confidently.

How it works

Everything you need to assess, screen, treat, and follow patients with HCV is embedded in one streamlined pathway, with shortcuts and prompts to keep care moving.

The toolkit will guide you through the pathway from screening to treatment, and will help you order tests, review results, and initiate care, including prescriptions for direct acting antiviral treatment.

Screening: Once uploaded*, the toolkit pulls directly from your EMR to:

• Flag who has—and hasn’t—been screened
• Auto-generate pre-filled lab requisitions for screening and baseline bloodwork
• Guide next steps with built-in prompts when results are available
• Support follow-up with reminders and recall for patients at ongoing risk
• Optional referral pathway to connect patients directly to an HCV care provider

*This toolkit requires the PS Suite EMR toolkit to already be used at your organization/practice.

Care Management, HCV treatment: guided step-by-step, right in your EMR.

When a patient tests antibody positive for hepatitis C with detectable viral load, the Care Management section activates automatically. From there, the toolkit:

• Pulls in relevant labs directly from the chart
• Guides you through management using a step-by-step, primary care–friendly workflow
• Starts with assessment and moves through treatment as needed
• Provides quick-access links to calculators, pre-filled lab requisitions, and prescribing recommendations
