Plain Language Description: Ocean eReferral to Telus CHR
Amplify Care and Telus Health have partnered to allow healthcare clinicians to send and receive patient referrals electronically (eReferrals) using Telus Health’s Collaborative Health Record (CHR).
Clinicians can initiate referrals from CHR and send these to healthcare specialists and organizations receiving referrals using the Ocean Healthmap. Status updates and appointment information from Ocean is returned to the patient record in CHR.
Clinicians and specialists with listings in the Ocean Healthmap can receive, review, accept and schedule appointments for eReferrals directly within Telus CHR. Single sign on with contextual launch allows both senders and receivers to use the Ocean portal for key referral functionalities such as cancellations, declines, forwards and messaging.
Privacy and security assessment were conducted by Amplify Care for this integration.
The eReferral component of the Ontario eServices Program is managed by Amplify Care and funded by Ontario Health.
The Ocean eReferral Network is owned and operated by OceanMD, a Well Health company.
CHR is owned and operated by Telus Health.
