Plain Language Description: Ocean eReferral to Cerebrum EMR
Amplify Care and AwareMD (a WELL Health Company) have partnered to allow healthcare clinicians to send patient referrals electronically (eReferrals) to cardiology, respirology and related care, such as: consultations, cardiac testing, pulmonary function testing, ambulatory monitoring etc.
The referral sender initiates the eReferral from the Ocean eReferral Network, typically using an integrated electronic medical record. The referral information is received and reviewed by the specialist within Cerebrum EMR. The specialist will assess the referral and book an appointment for the patient within Cerebrum EMR if appropriate. Information regarding the referral including any scheduled appointments is then returned to the referral sender within Ocean.
Third party privacy and security assessment were conducted for this integration, as requested byAmplify Care.
The eReferral component of the Ontario eServices Program is managed by Amplify Care and funded by the Ontario Ministry of Health.
The Ocean eReferral Network is owned and operated by CognisantMD.
Cerebrum EMR is owned and operated by AwareMD, a WELL Health Company.
