Dr. Ryeyan Taseen, MD, MSc, FRCPC is a respirologist and clinician informatics leader based in Southwestern Ontario. He is a staff physician at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, where he provides inpatient consultative care and maintains a nearby outpatient respirology practice. He serves as the hospital’s Health Information System (HIS) Medical Lead, providing physician leadership for the hospital’s implementation of a regional HIS. In addition to his role as a Clinical Advisor at Amplify Care, he consults for Ontario Health’s Standardized eReferral Forms initiative. Dr. Taseen completed his medical training at l’Université de Sherbrooke in Quebec, and earned a Master’s degree in Computer Science through the clinician-scientist program. His work brings together frontline clinical care, health informatics, and health system implementation, with particular interests in clinical decision support, clinician-informed digital workflow design and implementation, and health information interoperability and standardization.
